Jane Brindley Horse Riding With Confidence Scotland

‘Do you know what you want to be when you grow up?’ is a question that most, if not all of us, have been asked at some point. But the chances are that what you wanted to be when you were first asked, what you thought you might do when you left school, and what you’re doing now, are all different. Am I right?!

Lifelong learning and changing direction Jane Brindley

This week, I caught up with Jane Brindley, who’s a coach with extensive experience in hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, NLP and performance coaching. Did she want to be this ‘when she grew up’? Did she do this when she left school? No, far from it.

In this episode, Jane talks about how her life and the learnings she’s picked up along it have helped guide her to the point she is now. And how a tragedy in her life made her find a new path. Not only has this new path been hugely rewarding for Jane, but she’s helped a huge number of riders from performance backgrounds and with confidence issues to enjoy their horses more and achieve their goals through her business Horse Riding With Confidence Scotland.

And more than that, Jane feels she’s really found her stride now. At a time when her friends are retiring, she’s just getting started.

Prepare to feel uplifted, empowered, and a lot more certain that every experience you have in your life is leading you to exactly where you need to be. Enjoy!

Ever felt a bit overwhelmed about which social media platform/s you should be on? There are a lot of them, aren’t there? This podcast will help you answer the question ‘Which social media platform should I be on?’ and, hopefully, reduce that feeling of overwhelm that so often accompanies that question.

Which social media platform should I be on?

Whether you’re just starting out in the world of social media or you’re looking to add more platforms to your existing offering, this episode talks through how to pick where to be, what questions to ask yourself, and how to get the maximum from them when you’ve made your choice.

There’s a whole lot of choice out there when it comes to social media platforms, and it can be really overwhelming. Trying to decide whether or not to be on Facebook, or Instagram, or TikTok, or Twitter, or Pinterest or any of the others, can feel HUGE.

And that can also encourage people to try and be on all of them, at the full capacity, all of the time. And that’s not always possible.

You could always be on more social media platforms, and new ones spring up all of the time. And that will make you ask yourself where you should be a lot of the time. But the thing is, by looking at who uses them, the kind of content that really works on the different platforms, and so much more, you can make the right decision (or decisions) for you!

And just before I sign off on this blog, I wanted to say that we often feel we need to be in all the places all the time. But we really don’t. And what’s more, I advise clients to start with one or two at a time. Then, as you learn one and start to feel more confident using it, you can consider adding another (of you want to, and if it makes sense for your brand and your fans). A bit like spinning plates. You don’t want to try and start six of them going at the same time. It rarely ends well. Particularly if you want to do any other work at the same time!

Victoria Brant Wimpy Eventer

Before I even explain this one and how amazing it is, can I just say that the trigger warning at the start f this podcast should be taken seriously. This podcast is amazing and I am so, so grateful to Victoria Brant aka Wimpy Eventer for coming on, sharing everything, and being so open and honest. But, as the warning says, we talk about miscarriage and if you’re pregnant at the moment or are triggered by anything miscarriage, this might not be the episode for you. Or, at least, be aware of the subject so you can skip that bit.

Tears, smiles and lots of laughs with Victoria Brant aka Wimpy Eventer- the sequel

This podcast will make you laugh and probably cry as Victoria talks to us all about the last 15 or so months of her life including the birth of her son George, a devastating miscarriage, feeling invincible, plans for the future, and how she keeps her hair looking so lovely (you asked, Vic answered!).

In addition, Victoria answers a load of questions that our followers (as in her followers, and my followers!) submitted via Instagram, so keep an ear out for that.

I hope you enjoy this episode. I don’t often get teary when recording, but with this one I did. However, it will leave you on a huge high with a whole lot of smiles, and mega admiration for the powerhouse that is Wimpy Eventer.

Batch content creation - save time and feel smug!

If you’re feeling overwhelmed in your quest to be consistent on social media, you’re going to love this episode- it’s all about batch content and how to create a LOAD of content in a fairly short amount of time.

Batch content creation – save time and feel smug!

From professional images to flatlays, quotes and tips to videos and Reels, this podcast is packed with tips and tricks to help you create your content in an efficient and streamlined manner, to help you save time, create better content, and let’s be honest, feel pretty smug. And that is a lovely feeling when it comes to social media!

It can feel like an enormous amount of work to do when you start to think about how much content you need to be consistent on social media, can’t it? But the truth is that if you’re a little bit canny, you can create the images and graphics you need as the foundation for everything else you do in a really efficient manner, as discussed in the podcast.

For example…

Do you use flatlays to show new products or to visually show what you do through highlighting the tools of your trade? Clear a window of time, get all your props and products together, and get creating. Take one flatlay from multiple different angles, add and remove products and repeat. You can use these on their own as flatlays, but they can also be great as the background for quotes and tips, for example.

If you can, getting a professional shoot done (and obviously obtaining the correct permission to use the digital files) can provide you with a whole lot of high quality content that is ready to go with no extra effort from you. And you can use these images more than once. Just spread them out a bit…

For quotes and tips, spend some time getting ‘in the zone’ as that’s generally when the best things happen. You can also use your notes section to jot down ideas around both of these before you head to Canva, Wordswag, or whatever software you use to create your masterpieces.

If you produce videos- long or short form- thing about doing these in batches too. This means you don’t have to tidy your office every five minutes, but also means that if you like to do your hair a certain way/apply make up/etc, you’re cutting down on the prep time too.

These are just a few ideas- there are lots more in this episode of the Small & Supercharged Podcast. Listen above or why not subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you tune in? Enjoy!
