Podmas #9 all about saddles, sparkle and showers with Poppy Webber from Peewee Saddlery & Hippo Horse Showers

Poppy has brought saddle fitting and saddle fitting info to the masses with her incredible Lives and YouTube channel, both of which were started during lockdown to help prevent boredom! As a qualified saddle fitter, she fits saddles and even has her own range, but also wanted to educate people around the subject to help them make better choices- and how this idea has flown!

In addition. Poppy is one half of Hippo Horse Showers, a business that started by accident when Poppy’s husband made her a horse shower. And as they say, the rest is history. Although with Poppy, it’s glitter covered history and has been making a lot of horses a whole lot happier in winter and beyond!

To find out more about Poppy as a saddle fitter and as PeeWee Saddlery, visit the websites, find her on Facebook, Instagram and subscribe to her YouTube channel. To learn more about Hippo Horse Showers, see the website and follow on Facebook and Instagram.

Getting your mind(set) on side with NLP and Tracey Cole

Getting your mind(set) on side with NLP and Tracey Cole

Over the last couple of years, there’s been a real surge in awareness around mindset and how it can impact everything you do. In fact, I did my NLP Practitioner training a while ago, and I’m training for my Master Practitioner now because it’s packed full of useful tools that I use in my business coaching. And I train with the lady that is on today’s podcast- Tracey Cole.

Getting your mind(set) on side with NLP and Tracey Cole

Tracey is a Master Coach who found NLP through her own confidence issues in the saddle… and the rest is history! Now, Tracey is a Master Coach who offers sessions to riders and non-riders, but also trains people to support others with NLP, and she also has a business course coming out in the New Year!

In this episode, Tracey tells us all about NLP (what is is and how she got into it!) and also shares some very valuable tips and tricks that will help so many people at this time of year

Donkeys & designs with Amanda Marshall from 3 Donkeys Clothing

Amanda Marshall 3 Donkeys

3 Donkeys clothing is well known for its brilliant 2-into-1 coveralls, but did you know that founder, Amanda Marshall, had the idea many years ago? It was a chance conversation and a well connected friend who helped Amanda make the idea a reality just three short years ago. On this episode, we chat to Amanda about the full 3 Donkeys story!

Donkeys & designs with Amanda Marshall from 3 Donkeys Clothing

From why the brand is called 3 Donkeys to where the original idea came from, the importance of making in the UK and being sustainable to what’s next for Amanda and the brand, this podcast shares it all. We also hear about Amanda’s highs along the way, which include being nominated for a prestigious award (twice!), Charlotte Dujardin, ThisEsme and Burghley!

There’s so much more to 3 Donkeys than meets the eye, and it’s a joy to be able to share the brand and the lady behind it with you all on this episode.

I have the pleasure of working with Amanda and her fabulous brand and she’s one of life’s good people. Funny, talented, hardworking and kind- but also wouldn’t accept any of these truthful comments related to her- she’s a superstar and it’s a pleasure being able to share her and the story of her amazing 2-into-1 coveralls with you.

To find out more about 3 Donkeys and the fabulous range of coveralls in addition to hoodies and other clothing, just visit the website here. Also make sure you follow the brand on social media too- I particularly love the very purple Instagram.

You’ve got Instagram Links in Stories! (And you don’t need over 10k)

You have got links in instagram stories

Last week, Instagram announced that Links on Stories would now be available to everyone. Previously, people with 10k plus followers had access to this functionality and others didn’t. But this change means that follower number is no longer a barrier. But is it necessarily a good thing?

You’ve got Instagram Links in Stories! (And you don’t need over 10k)

On this episode of the podcast, I talk about how the Link sticker can benefit brands, influencers and followers too, but I do also talk about the potential downside of links generally, and how to navigate around this.

I’ve had the ability to link from Stories for a good while now and while it is really handy in certain situations, I do think it’s important to be aware of what these circumstances are and not overuse the sticker to the detriment of the content that you’re creating and posting natively.

The thing is, when we ‘meet people where they are’ on social media platforms, that person has chosen to spend their time there. Now, there might be occasions when they’re more than happy to leave it and go somewhere else (bargains tend to be one good reason!), but we need to make sure that we’re not always sending people here, there and everywhere. And we also need to still be doing our bit to make sure that even if we include a link, that the content still works and ‘adds value’ on its own, with no immediate need for people to move around.

That said, there are clearly huge advantages to be able to take people to specific locations. If you are an influencer and create vlogs or blogs, a link on Stories can now take people there with ease. And if you have any kind of affiliate link, or you want to take people somewhere specific on your website, you can now do this.

Anyway- have a listen to the podcast- hopefully it’ll help you with the pros, potential cons, and how to avoid any pitfalls. Enjoy.

Custom-made country clothing with Tamsin Sprawling of Sprawling & Osborne

Sprawling & Osborne Tamsin Sprawling

Have you heard of Sprawling & Osborne? Even if you haven’t heard of the name, if you’re on Instagram and follow country influencers, the chances are that you will have seen the company’s pieces styled beautifully into many outfits. Tamsin, the founder, is also a member of the Small & Supercharged Mastermind group – my membership group that has been created to help small businesses in the equestrian and rural sector to grow, thrive and shine. It’s been an absolute joy to see Tamsin’s business grow over the last few years, and it was a complete pleasure to chat to her on the podcast to hear all about it.

Custom-made country clothing with Tamsin Sprawling of Sprawling & Osborne

Tamsin Sprawling launched Sprawling & Osborne in 2019, originally to find a use for deer hide, something that is often unused when the animal is eaten. This desire for sustainability in country clothing grew from stunning boot tassels made from cowhide into an entire range of UK made clothing.

Tasmin now designs a range of country clothing made using sustainable materials, cut and sewn in the UK, on a made to order basis. Not only does this approach reduce waste, but it also means that bespoke pieces can be created to perfectly fit everyone.

On today’s podcast, Tamsin shares how she grew her business, why it started, where it is now, and what’s to come in the future for this young, British business.

To find out more about Sprawling and Osborne, make sure you check out the website here, or the company’s Instagram account here too.
